Russian Hill home that replaced ‘minimalist masterpiece’ asks $14.4M

Comes with views of that famous hunk of metal in the bay

Billed by Curbed SF as a “minimalist masterpiece” in 2012, the Russian Hill house conceived by famed San Francisco designer Stanley Saitowitz is no more. Now in its place, a new home by local firm Studio 12.

Featuring four beds and six baths, 1110 Green now spans four floors and comes with a more familiar look than its predecessor. Vertical wood beams (a common theme with Studio 12 designs) now grace the exterior. The bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen have all been revamped with a look found in many contemporary constructions.

Starchitect issues notwithstanding, this Russian Hill home is still a looker, one bound to entice the well-moneyed set with a slew of new features.

Additional details include more than 1,300 feet of outdoor space and a top-floor master bedroom with pocket doors leading to views of the bay and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Asking price is $14.4 million.
